Programs for Pre-Kindergarten

4-5 Years

Children who are four years old have a natural inclination towards language and are beginning to think logically, which allows them to use language to express their thoughts. As your child prepares for kindergarten and beyond, pre-k offers fun opportunities for learning and innovation!

Interaction

Inspire! offers multi-sensory learning experiences that encourage discovery through playful exploration, teacher-guided investigations, questioning, direct instruction, and discussion. This approach introduces and reinforces new information in a way that accommodates each child's natural curiosity and supports their problem-solving skills and confidence.

Schedules

The curriculum focuses on early learning domains and approaches to learning, and each child learns in different ways. The program introduces numbers, measurement, and patterns through hands-on learning, and children engage in block building tasks that show higher mathematics performance than children who had less block building experience. Physical development is also important, and children are shown fun ways to practice proper techniques for movement, balance, and motor skills. Teachers

Our Pre-K teachers pay close attention to all aspects of your child's development, and there are engaging programs and activities that promote social, emotional, physical, cognitive, creative, and character development in every child. Inspire! believes that when a child is mentally, physically, and emotionally ready to learn a skill, they are more likely to master it instead of becoming frustrated.

Program

Our Nine Key Development Areas approach provides teachers with the tools and guidance to accommodate each child's learning style and fully support their development. The program builds upon each skill to make it easier for children to learn the next one. Spaces

Like our preschool program, we have designed our classrooms to adequately focus on the creative play and structured learning approach of four-year-old children. Our classrooms are equipped with age-appropriate materials, toys and learning devices. We foster a supportive atmosphere where children feel secure expressing themselves with clear boundaries to enhance a preschooler's comfort and confidence.

Communication

Your pre-k teacher will share information about your child’s development and learning in many different ways throughout the school year and beyond. Using e-daily sheets, parent teacher conferences and daily messaging, you will collect a great deal of information throughout the day. Parent boards and newsletters are also provided to families to keep up-to-date information on what is going on and what activities your child will participate in weekly. You will be constantly informed and involved in your child’s day-to-day learning!

Universal Pre-Kindergarten

Inspire has partnered with the New York Department of Education to support the Universal PreK programs that New York State has chosen to roll out throughout the state. Each one of our schools currently participates in the Universal Pre-K associated with the school districts. Some school districts have had a full and comprehensive roll-out and others are work in progress. For all of the programs we follow all of the requirements including but not limited to, Teacher education and selection, curriculum and activities, policies and procedures plus many other nuances.

“Inspire has been a wonderful school/daycare for both of my girls. My youngest has been there since she was 4 months old and I have seen her grow and flourish under the exceptional care and teaching of the staff at Inspire. They are so flexible, always welcoming my little ones even on non scheduled days when I am in a pinch. The management is super responsive and caring, and communicates with me daily. My daughters loved and still love Inspire, and look forward to going every day! I would highly recommend Inspire to any parent.”
